‘Lawbreakers’: Release Date, News, and Updates

Lawbreakers is a new game from Cliff Bleszinski and Boss Key studios. The game is a multiplayer shooter with different characters all with different movement skills, battle abilities, and weapon combos. Fights take place in big arenas with different gravities and a variety of game modes.

The game is set in a futuristic America after a global seismic event known as “The Shattering,” changing the landscape and gravity. In this world, the “Law” fights against the “Breakers” across reimagined versions of Santa Monica and the Grand Canyon.

Blitzball has you gaining possession of the EURO ball and taking it to the enemy’s goal. Turf War has teams lock three zones throughout the map. Overcharge has you charging a battery at your team’s base.

The Wraith is armed with an automatic pistol and explosive blade and can leap off walls and slide through enemy forces. The Battle Medic launches grenades from the sky and can heal teammates with drones. The Enforcer has an assault rifle, homing rockets, and can boost the weapon and movement speeds of allies. The Assassin has two blades and an energy shotgun. The Gunslinger specializes in flurries of shots from two different guns and a warp ability. The Juggernaut are robots with high defenses and an energy shield. The Titan has a lightning gun and a rocket launcher as well as a berserk rage. Finally, the Vanguard has a gatling gun that becomes more accurate as you fire as well as full flight capabilities.

The game is coming August 8 on PC and PS4 for $29.99. New maps, modes, and characters will be added in the future at no extra cost.

Rise up beta event gives closed beta access on June 28 at 9 a.m. PDT/ 12 p.m. EDT and the Open Beta is on June 30 at 9 a.m. PDT/ 12 p.m. EDT. Both events end July 3 at at 9 a.m. PDT/ 12 p.m. EDT. You can sign up for the beta here.
