‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’ is Coming to Playstation VR

A version of Skyrim is coming to Playstation VR in the form of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR. The game is coming this November and includes all of the official add-ons.

The game was also recently announced to include bonus content for the Nintendo Switch version, including Amiibo support that grants items from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and motion controls with the two Joy-Cons as well as all of the enhancements that come with the special edition.

Now I’m kind of torn. On one hand you have the portable capabilities of the Switch but on the other you have full 3D immersion, and it’s not like I can just buy both versions. What’s a person to do?

Probably just play it for the billionth time on my laptop, probably.

Skyrim was originally released in November of 2011 to massive critical and commercial success. A special edition was released last year remastering the visuals and adding all of the official DLC expansions.

Sony showed off a bunch of projects this E3, including Spider-Man, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, God of War, Detroit: Become Human, and more. Most of them are titles we say during last year’s press conference but we got new trailers and some new information. We also got plenty of other VR games including The Inpatient from Supermassive Games, the developer behind Until Dawn and its VR spin-off Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.

Bethesda revealed many other games during its E3 press conference this year, including VR versions of Doom (2016) and Fallout 4 as well as The Evil Within 2. Bethesda also announced the Creation Club, where they work with external partners and creators to create new content for Skyrim and Fallout 4 for users to buy. Curiously, the VR verison of Skyrim wasn’t announced at the conference.
