1. Turmeric is an Anti-Inflammatory
Turmeric has had positive effects on joint pain and arthritis in research studies. It can also have an effect on other side effects of inflammation like back pain, sunburn, or head aches.
*One to two teaspoons daily is minimum for anti-inflammatory properties.
2. Turmeric is Anti-Cancerous
Lab and research studies have shown that curcumin, the active ingredient and antioxidant in turmeric, have anti-cancer properties.
3. Turmeric Helps You Detox
According to Dr. Ramsey, the yellow is significant, because it signifies that it stimulates liver function. It improves digestion, the natural detox process, and helps everything flow a bit better.
Turmeric Tips
1. Mix turmeric with olive oil and pepper to increase absorption.
2. Dr. Ramsey recommends a product called NRF2 (Xmogen brand if possible), which has curcumin with green tea extract, resveratrol and black pepper for absorption.
