Earlier this year Wu-Tang member Raekwon announced that he’d be dropping his solo album “The Wild” in March and today we have another single from the album. “My Corner” produced by G Sparkz has Raekwon with his signature flow and cadence, but he also taps Lil Wayne to drop a verse as well. The track originally premiered on Rolling Stone and Raekwon had a few words about the collaboration and his respect for Lil Wayne.
“Wayne is a charismatic individual and his flows are dumb delightful” Raekwon commented to Rolling Stone. “I studied him way back and appreciated the opportunity to trade bars with him. I always heard his voice on this and I was very pleased hearing him tap dance on a different style of production. “My Corner” is a flashback to them good ole terrible blocks and we take you back to all black outfits. This record must be played at high volume.”
“My Corner” is the second single from “The Wild” Raekwon’s seventh full-length solo album. The previous single was “Purple Brick Road” which featured G-Easy and was produced by the J.U.S.T.I.C.E League. “The Wild” releases March 24th on Raekwon’s imprint IceH20.
