Davis suffered a left shoulder injury during the third quarter of Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets but was able to return after visiting the locker room. He recorded 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 40 minutes in the loss. Davis suffered the injury early in the third quarter on a play during which he took contact to his left shoulder, and though he was able to remain in the contest immediately afterward, he was barely able to use his left arm. The 31-year-old exited the game with four minutes left in the third quarter and went to the locker room, later returning for the final period. The injury seemed to impact Davis on the offensive end of the court, forcing LeBron James and Austin Reaves to shoulder heavy workloads down the stretch. Davis dominated on the glass throughout the opening-round series, averaging 15.6 boards over five games.

Battles through shoulder injury
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/los-angeles-lakers-logo.png?w=150)
Good to go for Game 5
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/los-angeles-lakers-logo.png?w=150)
Davis (wrist) will play in Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports. Davis was added to the injury report as probable due to a left wrist sprain, and as anticipated, he'll be able to play through the injury Monday evening. LeBron James (ankle) has also been cleared to play, so the Lakers will have both top contributors available in a must-win game.
Likely to play in Game 5
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/los-angeles-lakers-logo.png?w=150)
Davis (wrist) is probable for Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports. Davis was questionable for Saturday's Game 4 due to his left wrist sprain, but he suited up and tallied 25 points, 23 rebounds, six assists and a block in 42 minutes. Assuming he's available Monday, it seems unlikely that he'll face any restrictions.
Massive stat line in Game 4 win
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/los-angeles-lakers-logo.png?w=150)
Davis provided 25 points (11-17 FG, 3-4 FT), 23 rebounds, six assists and one block in 42 minutes during Saturday's 119-108 victory over the Nuggets in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Davis was efficient from the field and active on the glass en route to posting his first 20-point, 20-rebound performance since the win over the Bucks on March 28. Davis has been magnificent in the series despite the fact the Lakers are down 1-3, as he's scored at least 25 points and grabbed double-digit rebounds in each of the four contests. He needs to continue at a high level as a two-way threat if the Lakers want to have a shot at pulling the upset in Game 5 of the series.
Will play in Game 4
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/los-angeles-lakers-logo.png?w=150)
Davis (wrist) will play in Saturday's Game 4 versus Denver, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports. Davis popped up as questionable on the injury report with a left wrist sprain after previously battling a back injury and some soreness in both heels, but with Los Angeles' season on the line, Davis will continue to push through his ailments.
Iffy for Game 4
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/los-angeles-lakers-logo.png?w=150)
Davis is questionable for Saturday's Game 4 versus Denver due to a left wrist sprain, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. Davis has been a regular on the injury report, but this is a new issue. Previously, Davis was battling a back injury and some soreness in both heels. He seemed fine in Game 3, however, as he produced 33 points (14-23 FG, 5-7 FT), 15 rebounds, three assists and one steal in 43 minutes.
Massive line in Game 3 defeat
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/los-angeles-lakers-logo.png?w=150)
Davis finished Thursday's 112-105 loss to Denver in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 33 points (14-23 FG, 5-7 FT), 15 rebounds, three assists and one steal in 43 minutes. LeBron James has been the most influential all-around player for the Lakers in the series, but when it comes to putting up numbers, Davis has been leading the way. He's recorded at least 32 points with double-digit rebounds in the three games in the series so far. Davis should be in line to handle another heavy workload in Game 4 on Saturday regardless of whether he's on the injury report.
Available to face Denver
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/los-angeles-lakers-logo.png?w=150)
Davis (back) is available for Game 3 against the Nuggets on Thursday, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports. As has been the trend throughout the regular season and the playoffs, Davis appeared on the injury report but has been listed as available closer to tipoff. Davis has averaged 32.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 blocks per game in the first two games of the series against the Nuggets.
Probable for Thursday
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/los-angeles-lakers-logo.png?w=150)
Davis (back) is probable for Thursday's Game 3 matchup with the Nuggets, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. Davis played through the back issue during Game 2 and logged 39 minutes on his way to a 32-point, 11-rebound double-double, so it clearly didn't impact him all that much. We should get official confirmation on his status closer to Thursday's tip.
