Bol notched 14 points (5-10 FG, 4-6 3Pt), eight rebounds, an assist and a block across 28 minutes in Sunday's 118-114 preseason win over the Nuggets. Bol hadn't seen the court much during the preseason, but he made his presence felt on both ends in this win. That said, Jusuf Nurkic is entrenched as the Suns' starting center for 2024-25, meaning Bol will have to compete for the backup role with Mason Plumlee. Bol's fantasy upside will be minimal once the regular season begins against the Clippers on Oct. 23.
Bol will start Sunday's preseason game against the Nuggets, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. Bol has struggled to produce during preseason action, but he will get an opportunity at a heavier workload Sunday with all of the Suns' starters resting. It remains unlikely he sees a substantial role come the regular season.

Bol managed just two minutes during garbage time, continuing his disappointing season. Despite his reputation in many fantasy circles, Bol is simply not that good. At this point, there is no reason to think he will ever be anything more than a per-minute specialist with very little upside when it comes to sustainable playing time.

Bol played despite nursing an ankle injury and logged his second-best scoring total of the season. The 7-2 big man decided to show his range in the win with a season-high three three-pointers. He displayed his flair beyond the arc last season with Orlando, and it's an added dimension that Jusuf Nurkic can't provide at the five. Although Bol's evening won't result in a switch for the first unit, Bol's role will likely increase if he stays consistent.
