Mobley (calf) is out for Wednesday's game against the Rockets. A right calf strain will hold Mobley out for a third straight game, and the star big man's next opportunity to return to the Cavaliers' lineup arrives Friday against Philadelphia. Caris LeVert (wrist) should continue to be the primary beneficiary of Mobley's absence if he's able to play against Houston, but Georges Niang should also play a more pronounced role from the Cleveland bench.

Evan Mobley Latest News
Listed as out for Wednesday
Mobley (calf) is out for Wednesday's game against the Rockets. A right calf strain will hold Mobley out for a third straight game, and the star big man's next opportunity to return to the Cavaliers' lineup arrives Friday against Philadelphia. Caris LeVert (wrist) should continue to be the primary beneficiary of Mobley's absence if he's able to play against Houston, but Georges Niang should also play a more pronounced role from the Cleveland bench.
Out again Monday
Mobley (calf) will miss Monday's game against the Suns. Mobley will be sidelined for a second straight game after sitting out against Minnesota on Saturday. Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com previously reported that the Cavaliers were taking a cautious approach with the big man. Caris LeVert moved into the starting lineup Saturday, but he flopped with two points, four rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes.
Out against Minnesota
Mobley (calf) will not play Saturday against the Timberwolves, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports. Mobley will be sidelined for just the third time this season. Fedor reports that the Cavaliers are just being cautious and that the franchise was looking to get him a maintenance day before the All-Star break. With Mobley sidelined, Fedor notes that the Cavaliers could move Caris LeVert into the starting lineup.
Iffy for Saturday
Mobley is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Timberwolves due to right calf soreness. Mobley is in danger of missing his first game since Dec. 13 on Saturday due to right calf soreness. If the 23-year-old big man is unable to suit up, Georges Niang will likely receive increased playing time against Minnesota.
Double-double streak continues
Mobley supplied 22 points (8-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and one block across 33 minutes during Tuesday's 127-117 victory over the Pacers. Mobley tallied a game-high 13 rebounds while securing his fourth consecutive double-double. Over that four-game span, the big man has averaged 20.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 0.8 blocks across 32.8 minutes per game. Mobley put together an extremely efficient outing as well, finishing as the club's third-leading scorer behind Donovan Mitchell (35 points) and Darius Garland (24 points).
Third straight double-double Sunday
Mobley finished Sunday's 108-93 loss to the Pacers with 16 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one block in 31 minutes. The fourth-year big delivered his third straight double-double and his 17th of the season, putting him on pace to shatter his previous career high of 24. Mobley has scored at least 15 points in 11 of the last 12 games, a stretch in which he's averaging 20.2 points, 8.4 boards, 3.7 assists, 1.7 threes, 1.2 blocks and 0.8 steals while shooting an impressive 60.9 percent from the floor and 43.5 percent from beyond the arc.
Posts another double-double
Mobley ended with 21 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 11 rebounds, six assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Thursday's 132-126 victory over the Raptors. Mobley recorded a double-double for the third time over his last four games -- and the fifth time across his previous nine appearances. The star forward is having a career-best season in 2024-25, and his two-way impact, as well as a bigger role on offense, has been one of the biggest reasons why the Cavaliers are sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference. Mobley is averaging a solid 20.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.4 blocks per game over his last 10 appearances.
Comes close to triple-double
Mobley had 21 points (8-13 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 10 rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 129-122 win over Oklahoma City. Mobley finished just three assists away from recording a triple-double and posted an impressive stat line on both ends of the court. The star forward is making a strong case to be named to the All-Star Game in February, and performances like Wednesday's will only boost his case. Mobley has scored at least 20 points in six of his last eight outings, averaging 21.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.8 blocks per game in that stretch.
Big double-double in win
Mobley had a game-high 34 points (14-21 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 30 minutes during Friday's 134-122 victory over the Mavericks. The fourth-year big led the charge for the Cavs while recording his 14th double-double of the season. Mobley has produced at least one block and one three-pointer in six straight games, averaging 21.8 points, 8.5 boards, 3.8 assists, 2.3 threes, 1.8 rejections and 0.8 steals over that stretch while shooting an impressive 61.2 percent from the floor and 51.9 percent (14-for-27) from long distance.
