Okoro (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans. Okoro will miss both halves of Cleveland's current back-to-back set after spraining his ankle against Charlotte on Sunday. He'll have plenty of time to rest and recover before trying to suit up versus the Raptors on Sunday. With so many players sidelined for the second half of the back-to-back set, Ty Jerome, Craig Porter and Georges Niang are candidates for season-high roles against New Orleans.

Isaac Okoro Latest News
Remains out Wednesday
Okoro (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans. Okoro will miss both halves of Cleveland's current back-to-back set after spraining his ankle against Charlotte on Sunday. He'll have plenty of time to rest and recover before trying to suit up versus the Raptors on Sunday. With so many players sidelined for the second half of the back-to-back set, Ty Jerome, Craig Porter and Georges Niang are candidates for season-high roles against New Orleans.
Won't play Tuesday
Okoro (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game versus the Celtics, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports. Okoro has been downgraded from questionable to out Tuesday due to a sprained left ankle he suffered against Boston. With Caris LeVert (knee) also out, Georges Niang should see increased playing time. Okoro's next chance to suit up is Wednesday's matchup with New Orleans.
Iffy for Tuesday
Okoro (ankle) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Celtics. Okoro sprained his left ankle in the first half of Sunday's 128-114 win over the Hornets. It was severe enough for him to be sidelined for the second half, but it remains to be seen whether he'll be able to play Tuesday. If Okoro is sidelined, Craig Porter and Ty Jerome would be the top candidates to see increased playing time off the bench.
Doesn't return Sunday
Okoro (ankle) did not return to Sunday's game against the Hornets. Okoro left the game in the second quarter due to a left ankle sprain and was not able to return. He concluded the contest with six points (3-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one assist in 13 minutes of action. Okoro will have an opportunity to suit up Tuesday against the Celtics, but if he is unable to go, Caris LeVert will likely see an uptick in minutes.
Dealing with left ankle sprain
Okoro is questionable to return to Sunday's game against Charlotte due to a left ankle sprain, Sam Amico of HoopsWire.com reports. Okoro remained in the locker room to get further evaluation on his left ankle. Caris LeVert started in the second half and will see an uptick in minutes if Okoro doesn't return Sunday.
Remains in locker room
Okoro (undisclosed) is in the locker room for the second half of Sunday's game against the Hornets, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports. It's unclear what Okoro is being evaluated for, but he did not come out with the team for the second half. Caris LeVert started for the Cavaliers in place of Okoro to begin the third quarter.
Modest performance despite start
Okoro recorded nine points (3-6 FG, 3-6 3Pt), two rebounds and two steals over 20 minutes during Wednesday's 114-106 win over the 76ers. Okoro continues to start for the Cavaliers, having now run with the opening unit for six consecutive games. However, despite the opportunity, Okoro has failed to make the most of the situation, scoring double-digits only once, adding a combined five defensive stats. While he is likely to remain in the starting lineup, there is no indication his production will head north any time soon.
Sticking in starting lineup
Okoro will start Friday's game against the Warriors, Serena Winters of FanDuel Sports Network Ohio reports. Dean Wade (illness) has been cleared to return following a multi-game absence, but Okoro will stick in the starting lineup for at least one more contest. Over his last two starts, Okoro has totaled 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists and a steal in 50 minutes.
Drawing spot start Monday
Okoro will start Monday's game against the Bucks, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. With Caris LeVert (knee) and Dean Wade (illness) out, Okoro will make his first start of the season. Across 49 starts last season, including the postseason, Okoro averaged 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals-plus-blocks in 29.1 minutes per game.
