Dominates inside in double-double
Claxton finished with 21 points (9-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and three steals in 33 minutes during Sunday's 118-113 loss to the Bucks. Claxton held it down for Brooklyn in the paint Sunday, leading all Nets players in rebounds, steals and blocks while finishing as one of two players with a double-double in a losing effort. Claxton set a new season high in scoring, reaching the 20-point mark for the first time this year. He has now recorded a double-double in four contests.
Efficient night from field in win
Claxton provided 16 points (7-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one block over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 99-90 victory over Indiana. It was an efficient night from the floor for Claxton, who matched his season high in scoring that he set back during the Oct. 29 loss to the Nuggets. The 25-year-old big man's role has fluctuated under head coach Jordi Fernandez this season, and he's also dealt with various injuries, but his production is beginning to stabilize a bit in the past few weeks. Over his last six games (four starts), Claxton is averaging 10.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 24.8 minutes per contest while shooting 65.2 percent from the field. While it's also worth noting he knocked down his first three-pointer of the year Wednesday, fantasy managers still shouldn't expect outside scoring to become a habit for Claxton.

Claxton ended Monday's 128-102 loss to Chicago with 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, one block and one steal over 24 minutes. The Nets looked outmatched on both ends of the court in this matchup, but Claxton was one of the few decent performers for Brooklyn while ending just two boards away from a double-double. Claxton has struggled with injuries of late, which have caused him to miss five of the Nets' last 10 games. He's averaging 7.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 blocks per game across eight starts.

Claxton has been upgraded from questionable to available Friday after missing Brooklyn's previous two contests due to a back injury. The 25-year-old big man is averaging 9.0 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.1 blocks in 26.0 minutes across his last 10 appearances.
Questionable to face Orlando
Claxton (back) is questionable for Friday's game against the Magic, Evan Barnes of Newsday reports. Claxton has missed two games in a row and five of the Nets' last seven contests. The questionable tag suggests a decision on his status will be made closer to Friday's 7:30 p.m. ET tipoff, but he could return to the starting lineup right away if deemed available.
Ruled out for Wednesday
Claxton (back) will not play Wednesday against the Suns. Claxton will miss a second straight game due to injury management, and the Nets are listing him as day-to-day going forward. It's pretty clear that the franchise is going to proceed with caution whenever its key players are not 100 percent. Claxton's next chance to play comes Friday against Orlando.
