Honey Boo Boo’s Family Gets Raise for Letting TLC in Their Den

We’re about to make you wish you had a funny looking little kid you can ply with Mountain Dew and Red Bull, too.

Seems Honey Boo Boo and her redneck family got a huge raise from TLC after the show’s second episode, and Mama June didn’t even have to ask for it.

America’s favorite redneck family got between $5,000 and $7,000 a show when it first started, but then after TLC realized it had a huge hit with Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, and someone might steal the roly-poly little pageant queen and her family from them, they jacked up their salary between $15,000 and $20,000 a show. Not a bad payday for letting the cameras follow you around while you eat, ride ATVs, eat, have babies with extra thumbs, eat…

TLC is also covering the family’s various expenses, TMZ is reporting, including paying for a bodyguard and driver for Boo Boo’s daddy, Sugar Bear (honestly, we’re not making up these names as we go along), who smashed up his ATV.

The network even offered to help the family find a bigger house — but to her credit, June put her foot down. Seems she decorates that house up for Christmas for the community to enjoy and be it ever so humble, there’s no place like their little den.

It turns out too that agents are swarming the family trying to sign them, but June won’t do it. Thank God, she’s not Kate Gosselein, the last mama TLC unleashed on us. June says she doesn’t want to make money the only thing the show’s about, and she’s worried an agent will make her travel and take her away from her family.

Guess we won’t be seeing June with a tummy tuck, botox and hair extensions anytime soon. Thank God. Let’s hope she doesn’t turn into a Kate-like biotch, too.
