4 New ‘Johns’ Plead Guilty in Zumba Whorehouse Scandal

Deputy District Attorney Justina McGettigan is the prosecutor in the Zumba Brothel Scandal.

Four new names can be added to the Kennebunk alleged johns, only these ones aren’t “alleged”, they all pleaded guilty in order to keep their names from appearing on any sleazy list. This brings our total number to 54 of alleged and guilty clients of accused Zumba Brothel madam Alexis Wright.

The men are:

Benjamin Bouma, 40, of 26468 North 84th St., Peoria, Ariz.

Ryan P. Saucier, 31, of 45 Forest Ave., South Portland

Bradford Siegel, 56, of 14 Millridge Road, Cumberland

Michael Sherwood, 53, of 1011 Washington St., Portland

Deputy District Attorney Justina McGettigan said this week that four men had come forward before the names would have been made public by Kennebunk’s Police Deparment’s bi-weekly blotter.

McGettigan told Sea Coast Online:

They would not appear on a police blotter if they had already pled guilty, that is what happened in these cases. They pled guilty and were sentenced prior to the release of the blotter.”

Alfred District Court accepted the pleas and issued the four men fines.

Bouma paid $490 in fines; Saucier, $970; Siegel, $610; and Sherwood, $970. The four admitted their guilt in exchanging money for sex with alleged madam Alexis Wright. Wright is charged with 106 counts of prostitution and tax evasion. He alleged partner, Mark W. Strong, faces 59 charges of criminal invasion and promotion of prostitution.

Alexis Wright is charged with 106 counts of prostitution and tax evasion.

Both Bouma and Saucier were clients of Wright in January, court records say that Sherwood was a client in February, just days before the studio was raided by Kennebunk police. Finally Siegel, admitted he had sex with Wright in August 2011.

One of the guilty, Saucier, was represented by Gary Prolman, the lawyer who sought to block the release of names in the case. He was acting on behalf of his client, former hockey coach, Don Hill, who was forced to resign his position as local high-school coach when his name appeared on the first list.

Prolman said on Tuesday after proceedings:

They didn’t get around the system, they didn’t hide themselves, they pled guilty.”

Gary Prolman Esq. is representing at least two of the alleged johns in this scandal.

The four names of the men who pleaded guilty were not made public until the York County Coast Star sent a Freedom of Information letter to the court.

McGettigan issued a plea to any other defendants in the case:

Should a defendant wish to resolve their case by way of guilty plea prior to their arraignment date in this case, they should contact Justina McGettigan at the District Attorney’s Office in Alfred to discuss the matter.”
