Casey Anthony Bombshell: Prosecutors Missed 98% of Evidence

Orlando’s WKMG-TV has reported to RadarOnline.com that prosecutors failed to make a case on approximately 98 percent of damning evidence that could have resulted in a conviction in the Casey Anthony case, due to massive failures in the investigation. Star reporter Tony Pipitone obtained the evidence last week, and after showing it to the prosecutors, they affirmed that they would have in fact made use of the information.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that the evidence in question is the browser information on the Anthony family’s home computer, which included a search for “foolproof suffocation.”

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past two years or so, Casey Anthony was acquitted of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter, and aggravated child abuse, in regards to the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter. Caylee Anthony’s remains were found in a wooded area nearby her home in Orlando.

During the trial, the prosecution alleged Casey Anthony had killed her daughter with chloroform, and then hidden the body, in an effort to escape her parental duties. That story didn’t stick, however, as the defense was able to sell the story that Caylee had accidentally drowned in a pool, and the panicked mother had concealed the truth because of her abuse as a child and fear of the consequences. She was found guilty of four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to officers, with time served accredited to her time held in custody during the trial.

Public outrage sparked at the verdict and the prosecution’s inability to produce reliable evidence in regards to the precise manner of the child’s death. Recent reports indicate that Casey Anthony is engaged to an Australian man, who began their correspondence while she was in jail awaiting trial.

WKMG plans to broadcast the story this evening (November 20) in their 11 p.m. newscast.
