violent crowds, hours long lines, and
angry women with mace have turned you off to the whole thing. Well don’t fret, you unadventurous couch potato. There is a consumer event for you as well. Cyber Monday began when online retailers noticed that overall sales were spiking on the Monday after Thanksgiving. They started creating deals and advertising ahead of time in order to attract shoppers, and now it’s become a significant opportunity to save a few bucks. Though there are many cynics among us who have pointed out how ridiculous all this consumer madness is, and maybe they’re right. Perhaps that’s why this Wikipedia vandal decided to get a little creative with the facts. Or was it just a guy who likes giving real-time updates about the status of his dong? Hard to say.
