UPDATE! SHIRTLESS FBI AGENT ID’d as FREDERICK HUMPHRIES
The FBI friend of Jill Kelley who launched the probe that blew the Petraeus affair wide open was yanked from the case for sending shirtless photos of himself to Kelley.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the agent is under investigation by the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility.
This revelation comes amid the more-shocking news that Kelley and Gen. John Allen exchanged thousands of “inappropriate” emails. Allen succeeded Gen. David Petraeus as the top allied commander in Afghanistan in July 2011.
Yep, it’s getting weird.
The FBI agent did Kelley a favor and launched a bureau probe into emails to Kelley from Petraeus mistress Paula Broadwell — emails that under normal circumstances would hardly warrant the mobilization of the FBI. The investigation uncovered the affair and ultimately led to Petraeus’ resignation as CIA director.
Kelley is a family friend of the Petraeus family and volunteer social planner of military-related events. She came into the spotlight this week as a victim of email “harassment” from Broadwell, who was said to be jealous of Kelley’s relationship with Petraeus.
But it’s becoming clear Kelley is much more than a sidenote in the Petraeus scandal, with her “inappropriate” email relationship with Allen and her recent hiring of a high-powered lawyer and crisis manager.
