The most popular Twitter account associated with the protest group Anonymous has been suspended. The hacker group just Tweeted on its backup account that this is related to activities involving an account called @dearshirley — an account connected to the Westboro Baptist Church.
Anonymous went after the hate-group/church after it planned to descend upon mourners of the Sandy Hook Massacre, and it hacked the Twitter of Shirley Phelps-Roper, daughter of the group’s leader, Pastor Fred Phelps.
This is the e-mail that Anonymous allegedly received from Twitter regarding the suspension.
Twitter enacted the suspension at noon Eastern time today, allegedly because the account was use to share links to private personal information.
