Rapper Kenny Clutch has been named as the slain target in the Las Vegas Strip drive-by shooting that left three dead after a fiery crash on Thursday morning.
Local police say Clutch — real name Kenneth Cherry Jr., age 27 — was shot while in the driver’s seat of his Maserati sports car near the Aria Resort and Casino by a group of men in a black Range Rover Sport.
Police believe there was an argument beforehand inside the hotel.
Clutch’s vehicle swerved out of control, striking several vehicles and smashing into a taxi, which burst into flames, killing its driver and passenger. Clutch’s passenger suffered a gunshot to the arm but survived.
Cops are hunting for the Range Rover and its occupants.
Clutch’s dad, Kenneth Cherry Sr., told ABC News:
This is something you never really, really ever want to experience as a parent, to lose a child before you go.
Clutch, who’s known as a pimp on the Strip, was slain about two blocks from where Tupac was murdered.
