According to CBS News, police officials are currently in the middle of a shootout following a shooting at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge that left at least one officer dead and another injured on Thursday night and into Friday morning. At this point, it is still unclear whether or not the shooting at MIT is connected to the carjacking. However, reports are speculating a connection between the current situation and the suspects responsible for the Boston Marathon bombing just four days ago that killed three people, but it is still unconfirmed.
