Police in England say a female zoo employee has been brutally mauled by a tiger.
The woman, still unnamed, is 24 years old. She was in the tiger’s enclosure when the attack occurred at South Lakes Wild Animal in Dalton-in-Furness.
She’s currently hospitalized and is at Preston Royal Infirmary. The zoo closed early after the attack and all visitors have left the park. Newsbreaker, in the tweet below, described the injuries as “serious.”

The Cumbria Police said to iTV “The tiger is securely locked in its enclosure and there is no further risk to the public. Members of the public were not at any risk during the incident”
