Jordan Linn Graham is charged with pushing her husband off a cliff to his death. Here are the 5 Fast Facts on the alleged murder and the woman behind the crime.

1. Graham Was Having Second Thoughts About Her Marriage

According to CBS News, court documents (an FBI affadavit) state that the newlywed was having doubts about her marriage to Cody Lee Johnson, 25, when she got into a fatal argument with him. The couple had only been married 8 days.

Graham and her late husband were at Glacier National Park when the incident occurred on July 7, 2013. The two got into an argument and Graham claims Johnson grabbed her by the arm. She then pulled away and shoved him face-first off a cliff. Johnson’s body was recovered by a helicopter 5 days later. The body was below the Loop Trail near the cliff drops of the park’s popular Going to the Sun Road.

3. There Were Warning Signs

The night that the alleged murder occurred, Graham had confided in a friend of hers that she wanted to talk to her husband about the second thoughts she had about their marriage. CBS News reports that before 9 p.m., Graham texted her friend that she was about to talk to him. Graham also texted:

But dead serious if u don’t hear from me at all again tonight, something happened.

4. First, Graham Tried to Cover Her Tracks at the Park

When Johnson never showed up for work the next day, he was reported as missing. Graham told investigators that she came home to a dark-colored car pulling out of her driveway and that she saw Johnson inside it after he had texted her that he was going for a drive with an out-of-town friend. On July 11th, Graham told a Glacier park ranger that she had found the body. The park ranger found her story to be strange as she said: It was a place he wanted to see before he died. He would come up here with friends to drive fast when his friends were visiting from out of town.

On July 16th, Graham came clean about what happened.

5. Friends and Family Say Graham Was a Goofball

Family friend Tracey Maness talks about how relatives thought that Graham’s feelings for Johnson weren’t as true as his feelings for her. Maness said this worried relatives, but no one would have ever thought something like this would happen. She also described Johnson as a “big goofball” and it seemed that Graham was the same way as you can see in these photos.
