WATCH: Marine Jet Crashes Into Homes in Quiet California Neighborhood


At 4:20 p.m. a Marine AV-88 Harrier jet stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma fell from the sky in a quiet residential California neighborhood. According to KTLA, at least three homes were destroyed in the crash and subsequent massive fire.

A neighbor caught the blaze on video, and you can watch that above.

The crash occurred in Imperial County near the California-Arizona-Mexico border. Neighbors saw the pilot eject as the jet came down, and rushed to his aid. No one was hurt on the ground, but at least eight homes were evacuated.

Imperial has a population of around 15,000.
