Sheik Umar Khan, Sierra Leone’s chief ebola doctor, has died after contracting ebola because of his work. News of his diagnosis surfaced just last week. Just last month Khan said in an interview with Reuters that he feared for his life because of his work. Khan had been called a “national hero” by Sierra Leone’s Health Ministry because of his work. He was only 39.
