Week 4 Monday Night Football was an absurd showing by the Patriots who lost miserably by 27 points to the Chiefs.

Here’s how it went down:


First Quarter

Touchdown Chiefs

Jamaal Charles’ ankle doesn’t seem to be giving him a problem with his second run of the night for the 1st down. Dwayne Bowe followed up with a few yards gained of his own thanks to Eric Fisher pushing away Chandler Jones. Knile Jones got a first down as the Chiefs made their way up the field and Travis Kelce followed with another first down. Charles ran it into the end zone for the first time this year to give the Chiefs a one touchdown lead.


Second Quarter

Knile Davis made a 48 yard run for the Chiefs followed by an amazing run by Kelce. Between Davis, Kelce, Charles and Smith the Patriots went down fast.

Touchdown Chiefs

Jamaal Charles ran it in AGAIN for his second touchdown of the game and the season for him. He now has 4 catches for 66 yards.

Knile Davis continued his streak after taking the ball to the 27 yard line. Bowe carried the ball further, but couldn’t get it to the first down line, forcing KC to punt it back into the Patriots’ hands.

The Patriots continued to get nowhere close to the end zone while Dwayne Bowe wreaked havoc in the first half with a 33 yard catch. Smaller gains were accumulated by Charles, Avery and Kelce with less than a minute left in the first half.

With 0 seconds left in the half, Bowe was short of the goal line, but the Patriots were given a five yard penalty and the Chiefs an automatic first down. With one play left they kicked a field goal to put the Chiefs up 17-0 at the half.

The Patriots gave up 303 yards in the first half, the most Belichick and the Patriots have ever given up in that time.


Third Quarter

Hali stuffed Brady to force a turnover, the first of the game after 7 scoreless minutes.

Touchdown Chiefs

Alex Smith threw it into the trusty hands of Jamaal Charles for the Chiefs’ third touchdown of the game to make the score 24-0 Chiefs.

The Patriots turned over the ball once again after Brady and Edelman failed to coordinate and CB Sean Smith grabbed the ball for the Chiefs. Kansas City finished up the possession with a field goal to make the score 27-0.

Touchdown Patriots

Brandon LaFell ran the ball in for a 44 yard TD after help from Shane Vereen who pushed the ball down the field prior.


Fourth Quarter

Avery took a shot to the groin area and leaves the field unable to continue his streak to the end zone with 12:20 to go in the game.

Touchdown Chiefs

Jamaal Charles stumbled, losing control of the ball 2 yards from the end zone but managed to secure the possession. Travis Kelce followed up with a catch in the end zone for the Chiefs’ fourth touchdown to make the score 34-7.

Touchdown Chiefs

The Chiefs stole the ball back right after their fourth touchdown when Brady through the ball caught by Abdullah who ran it into the end zone for the Chiefs’ fifth touchdown of the game to put them up by 34 points to the Patriots. Belichick pulled a frustrated Brady out of the game after his third turnover.

Touchdown Patriots

After Brady left the field for the remainder of the night, the Pats took the ball down the field ending in a touchdown for Gronk to make the score 14-41.
