Fifty people are dead and at least 50 others were taken to area hospitals after a mass shooting at a downtown Orlando nightclub early Sunday morning, officials have confirmed.
The shooter has been identified as Omar Mateen of Port St. Lucie.
OneBlood released a statement asking for donations, and pushed out the message on social media. The blood agency said donations were needed to aid the wounded.
OneBlood is calling for O negative, O positive and AB donors to donate as soon as possible, preferably today.
