Within hours of Floridians being asked to donate blood for the victims of Sunday’s Pulse nightclub shooting, massive lines formed across the city.
According to BuzzFeed News, some areas are overloaded with donors.
Reporter Erin Maloney noted that one line was roughly two hours long. Steve Helling shared video of a line containing about 600 people ready to donate.
Less than two hours after One Blood tweeted they had an urgent need for donors, the account thanked Orlando residents for the tremendous response.
50 people are dead and 53 more are injured in the worst mass shooting in the history of the United States. President Obama will address the nation at 1:30 p.m. Eastern.
