WATCH: Videos Show Aftermath of Ansbach, Germany, Explosion

One person, a suicide bomber, was killed and 10 people were wounded Sunday night in an explosion at a restaurant in Ansbach, Germany, officials say.

The blast was caused by a bomb, possibly an improvised explosive device, or IED, according to the German newspaper Bild.

SWAT police teams could be seen in the aftermath of the explosion Sunday night, with helicopters overhead, as seen in the videos above, and below.

ISIS has released an official statement on the suicide bombing, saying the attacker pledged allegiance to the Islamic State in a video. According to CNN, the suspect is a 27-year-old Syrian who entered Germany two years ago and had applied for asylum. He was set to be deported to Bulgaria.

The bomber had previously received psychiatric care, including for two suicide attempts, NBC News reports.

The explosion, at Eugene’s Wine Bar, occurred as an outdoor music festival, attended by 2,500 people, was held nearby. The festival was shut down as a precaution.

Initial reports that the explosion was caused by a gas leak were contradicted by the city’s mayor, Bild reports.

The blast is the latest in a series of attacks to hit Germany. Earlier Sunday, a machete-wielding Syrian refugee killed a woman and injured two other people in Reutlingen, about two hours south of Ansbach.

On Friday, a gunman opened fire at a McDonald’s restaurant in Munich, killing nine people and wounding several others before fatally shooting himself.

Terror ties have not been found in either of those attacks.

Also last week, a 17-year-old refugee from Afghanistan used an axe to injure five people on a train in southern Germany, before he was killed by police.

Officials have said the teen was inspired by ISIS and have called the Monday incident a terror attack.
