According to the Nobel Foundation, the earliest that the prize will be announced will be at 11:00 a.m. local time in Norway. This translates to approximately 5:00 a.m. Eastern. However, the prize might not be announced at this exact time, so keep an eye on the live stream for details and updates.

 

There are 376 candidates for this honor, including 148 organizations and 228 individuals. This is the largest number of candidates in history. The winner is selected by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. The decision is final and can’t be appealed. Nominees aren’t made public.
