LIVE STREAM: DAPL Protesters Face Eviction at Standing Rock Camp

Dakota Access Pipeline protesters at the main Oceti Sakowin camp in North Dakota are facing eviction by federal authorities after the Army Corps of Engineers set a 2 p.m. deadline for them to leave the area, the Associated Press reports.

By 4:15 p.m. local time, police began to move in toward the camp. Earlier, structures and tents in the camp were burned by the protesters. There have been reports of at least two people removed from the camp with burns.

The burning of living structures is ceremonial, the protesters told the AP. About 200 to 300 protesters remained at the camp near the Standing Rock Sioux reservation. The Army Corps ordered the camp closed and cited fears of potential spring flooding.
