Barcelona staged a miraculous comeback, doing what no other team had done in the Champions League: overcoming a 4-0 deficit to defeat PSG.
That means Barcelona will head to the Champions League quarterfinals. Stunningly, Barcelona scored three goals in the final minutes. Not surprisingly, the shock victory sent fans scurrying to their keyboards to post memes, praise, videos, inspirational posts, and jokes on the big comeback.
One BBC sports writer described the scene: “Mayhem, utter mayhem. All around me, people were hugging, jumping, screaming. Grown men were crying and strangers were leaping into each other’s arms.” According to BBC, it’s Barcelona’s the 10th successive season in the quarter finals.
Fans marveled.
Or just expressed shock.
According to CBS Sports, “Down 4-0 to PSG after the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie, Barca won the second leg 6-1 in what was a stunning comeback for them and an epic collapse for their guests.”
