What looked from afar like a modest and long black dress was actually a pantsuit, some photos of the trip revealed.

According to Fox News, “The first lady wore long sleeves and pants in keeping with the strict dress code that Saudi Arabia enforces for its female citizens but she did not cover her head.”

The network noted that Donald Trump had once criticized Michelle Obama for not wearing a headscarf on a 2015 Saudi Arabian trip.

According to the New York Daily News, the First Couple was greeted at the King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi Arabian capital city of Riyadh. The Daily News noted that “covering one’s head isn’t required for foreigners.”

In the latter part of the trip, Mrs. Trump will attend spousal programs at the NATO and G-7 summits. She will conclude the trip by delivering remarks to United States military personnel and families in Italy,” the White House said.
