Christopher Wray has given $47,350 dollars in campaign donations over the years to Republicans and Republican senators.

He was a financial supporter of Mitt Romney, the Republican candidate for president against Barack Obama.

Wray, 50, is President Donald Trump’s nominee to replace James Comey as FBI director. As such, Wray would require confirmation from the U.S. Senate, including some of the same senators he’s donated to financially. Wray, who served as assistant attorney general from 2003 to 2005, and was most recently working for a private law firm.

According to the Federal Election Commission, Wray has donated money to the following candidates and committees:

Romney Victory, Inc.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan for President, Inc.

C. Saxby Chambliss, via Chambliss for Senate. Chambliss is a former Republican Senator from Georgia, which is Christropher Wray’s home state.

Thomas Edmunds Price, via Price for Senate. Price is a former Republican Congressman from Georgia who is now Secretary of Health and Human Services.

David Perdue, via Perdue for Senate. Perdue is a Republican senator from Georgia who replaced Chambliss when Chambliss retired.

Rob Portman, via Portman for Senate. Rob Portman is a Republican senator from Ohio.

NRSC, the campaign committee of Senate Republicans.

John Hardy Isakson, via Georgians for Isakson. Isakson is a Republican senator from Georgia.

Barbara Comstock, via Comstock for Congress. Comstock is a Republican congresswoman from Virginia.

John McCain, via McCain-Palin Compliance Fund, Inc. McCain, a Republican senator, ran for president against Barack Obama.

Fred Dalton Thompson, via Fred Thompson Campaign Committee. Thompson was a Republican senator from Tennessee.

Wray spent years in the administration of Republican President George W. Bush. He was originally nominated to his position of Assistant Attorney General in Charge of the Criminal Division by Bush.
