PHOTOS: Donald Trump Protesters Line Streets of New York

A protest in New York outside of Trump Tower in underway as hundreds of people in the area await the President’s arrival. The POTUS is scheduled to arrive back in Manhattan this evening. However, when he arrives at his former home, he will be met with many chants and signs of people making sure that he knows they don’t approve of him.

“Four protesters have organized demonstrations at Trump Tower at 725 Fifth Ave. for Monday night, while others plan to gather in Washington Heights’ Bennett Park,” reports DNA Info. The crowds have already lined the streets. So far, the protest has been peaceful.

According to Curbed, several protests have been planned for the duration of Trump’s stay in New York. The following streets will be closed through Wednesday:

  • -58th Street from Sixth Avenue to Madison Avenue
  • -55th Street from Fifth Avenue to Madison Avenue

People of all ages and backgrounds walked up and down the sidewalks carrying anti-Trump signs.
