George Bush’s Family Photos: His Parents, Siblings, Kids & Grandkids

George H.W. Bush leaves behind five living children, 17 grandchildren, and eight grandchildren. The Bushes had a big family back in the 1980s and it's even bigger now.

George and Barbara's daughter, Robin Bush, died of leukemia in 1953 when she was only three years old. Dorothy Bush, named after George's mother, has two children with her first husband, William: Samuel and Nancy Ellis. She had two more children with her current husband, Robert P. Koch: Robert David and Georgia Grace.Sam LeBlond, who is now in his mid-30s, said that he learned the importance of friendship and respect for others from his grandparents, Parade reported. He said he has fond memories of all his family gathered together in Maine.

George W. and Jeb Bush followed in their dad's footsteps, with George W. serving ans President and Jeb serving as Governor and later running for President. George W. has two children, Barbara and Jenna. Jenna married in 2008 and has two daughters of her own. Twins Jenna and Barbara Bush recently co-authored a book called “Sisters First: Stories from Our Wild and Wonderful Life.”

Jeb has three children with his wife Columba: George P., Noelle, and John Ellis Bush, Jr. (aka "Jebbie"). Noelle Bush has struggled with addiction at times in her life, The New York Times reported. George Prescott got married in 2004 and has two sons. He was the only member of the Bush family who said publicly that he planned to vote for Donald Trump for President, Vanity Fair reported. Jebbie was married in 2010 and has two daughters. He was often seen on the campaign trail with his dad.

Marvin Bush is George H.W.'s youngest son. He was named after his grandfather Marvin Pierce. In 2016, after supporting Jeb's presidential run, he announced that he was endorsing Libertarian Gary Johnson. He and Margaret Conway have two children they adopted: Marshall Lloyd and Charles Walker. Charles was born on December 12, 1989, and went into the Armed Forces. Marshall said that she grew up right outside of D.C. while her grandfather was in office, and spent a lot of time at the White House with her puppy.

Neil Bush, born in 1955, is a chair of the Points of Light. He was married to Sharon Smith for 23 years and they have three children: Lauren Pierce Bush Lauren, Pierce Mallon Bush, and Ashley Walker Bush. He and current wife Maria Andrews also have three children.Ashley Bush, born in 1989, is a film producer and created a web series called Route by Route, about working women in the Northeast. In 2011, Lauren married David Lauren and has one son. She started FEED Projects in 2007, which focuses on addressing world hunger. Pierce Bush is the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star, which is a non-profit that pairs children with volunteer mentors.


George Herbert Walker Bush was America's 41st President. He died just about seven months after the death of his beloved wife, Barbara Bush. A statement released by Jim McGrath on behalf of George W. Bush on November 30, 2018 read: "Jeb, Neil, Marvin, Doro, and I are saddened to announce that after 94 remarkable years, our dear Dad has died. George H.W. Bush was a man of the highest character and the best dad a son or daughter could ask for. The entire Bush family is deeply grateful for 41’s life and love, for the compassion of those who have cared and prayed for Dad, and for the condolences of our friends and fellow citizens."

McGrath, the family spokesman, later released a second statement which read: "George Herbert Walker Bush, World War II naval aviator, Texas oil pioneer, and 41st President of the United States of America, died on November 30, 2018. He was 94 and is survived by his five children and their spouses, 17 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two siblings. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Barbara; his second child Pauline Robinson ‘Robin’ Bush; and his brothers, Prescott and William or ‘Bucky’ Bush. Funeral arrangements will be announced as soon as is practical."

Bush suffered the complications of vascular Parkinsonism for years before he passed away. The disease was why he was in a wheelchair during his last years. Vascular Parkinsonism is an "atypical" Parkinsonism that has symptoms similar to Parkinson's, but is caused by a series of small strokes rather than the neurodegeneration seen in traditional Parkinson's.

Former President Bush died at 10:10 p.m. Central time on November 30.
