The latest cooking competition series coming to TV is “Next Level Chef,” which premieres Sunday, January 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.

FuboTV

DirecTV Stream (formerly AT&T TV) has four different channel packages: “Entertainment,” “Choice,” “Ultimate” and “Premier.” Fox (live in most markets) is included in every one, but you can pick any package and any add-on you want with your free 14-day trial.
Note that the free trial isn’t advertised as such, but your “due today” amount will be $0 when signing up. If you watch on your computer, phone or tablet, you won’t be charged for 14 days. If you watch on a streaming device on your TV (Roku, Fire Stick, Apple TV, etc.), you will be charged for the first month, but you can get still get a full refund if you cancel before 14 days:

‘Next Level Chef’ Preview
The latest cooking competition series to come to TV is bringing together some of your favorite chefs from across multiple shows. Helmed by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, this series is “the next evolution in cooking competitions,” according to the FOX press release.
It continues:
Ramsay has designed a one-of-a-kind culinary gauntlet, set on an iconic stage like you’ve never seen. Over three stories high, each floor contains a stunningly different kitchen. From the glistening top floor to the challenging bottom of the basement, the ingredients match the environment, because Ramsay believes the true test of great chefs is not only what they can do in the best of circumstances, but what kind of magic they can create in the worst!
With a level playing field, Ramsay opened the competition and scoured the country for the very best line cooks, home chefs, social media stars, food truck owners and everything in between, all competing against one another with the goal of finding the food world’s newest superstar!
Joined by two elite names in the food world, chefs Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais, Ramsay and his co-mentors will leave no stone unturned, as they each recruit a group of the talented chefs and take them under their wings. Ramsay and his friends will attempt to bring out the very best in their cooks, as they all try to find “the one.”
Ramsay firmly believes that “as long as a chef has the drive, talent and perseverance, he or she can make that climb to the top.” He thinks the recipe for success on “Next Level Chef” is equal parts “creativity, consistency and cunning.”
The winner will walk away with a one-year mentorship from the three chefs and $250,000 in prize money.
In an interview with The Wrap, the showrunner said that this competition series is no joke.
“This was not your normal television set,” said executive producer Matt Cahoon. “It truly was a Next Level marvel constructed by our team. Built with over 85 tons of steel, our stage is 50 feet high, meaning we had to have a production hub built to house it, as the only permanent structures with that kind of height were sports arenas. A 40,000 sq ft industrial tent was built. It was the largest temporary structure in Las Vegas history. With that, our stage had to pass many of the permanent building codes in Clark County. With that much fortitude built in, neither the heat, nor the sound was ever an issue from floor to floor.”
