Minnesota (23-11-0) and Penn State (17-19-1) meet in the Big Ten Conference men’s hockey semifinals on Saturday, March 12.
The game (10 p.m. ET start time) will be televised on Big Ten Network. But if you don’t have cable, here are some different ways you can watch a live stream of Penn State vs Minnesota online:

Penn State vs Minnesota
Minnesota hasn’t lost since Jan. 29, and the top-seeded Gophers look to keep things rolling. Penn State ousted Ohio State in a 2-1 series on March 4-6 to reach the semifinals. That’s despite having a losing record.
“We’re a very young team, moreso than just our age,” Penn State head coach Guy Gadowsky said according to Steve Sampsell of the Center Daily Times. “You have to go through experiences on the ice and off the ice, good and bad. The culture of this team — that’s the biggest thing that allowed us to have a weekend like that at Ohio State.”
The Nittany Lions managed to beat the Gophers once this season, but that happened back in November 2021. Christian Sarlo and Chase Lane scored third-period goals for the 5-3 upset over the Gophers on Nov. 19, 2021.
Minnesota took the other three regular season matchups 4-2 on Nov. 20, 3-1 on Feb. 18, and 6-4 on Feb. 19. The Gophers hadn’t allowed four goals in a game for almost a month before the Lions found a way, which started with a 3-0 first period. The Gophers rallied with three goals in the second period followed by another three in the third period.
“We’re playing our best hockey at the right time of the year and we’ve got a good bunch of guys that are fun to watch,” Gophers head coach Bob Motzko told Fox 9.
The Gophers will make the NCAA tournament either way, but that’s not where the standards end for the five-time national champion.
“We know we’re in the NCAA Tournament and we’re going for the Big Ten title, but we’ve got to get through Saturday night with Penn State first. We want to just continue to play our best,” Motzko told Fox 9.
