It takes a lot for the Twitter chatter around any baseball game to rival football talk on an NFL Sunday. But with Derek Jeter playing the last game of his iconic 20-game career, even a game between two non-playoff teams is taking center stage.
Jeter, who drove in the winning run Thursday night against the Orioles in his last game at Yankee Stadium, is in his customary No. 2 spot in the lineup, serving as the designated hitter and playing his 153rd game at Fenway Park — the most ever by a Yankee.
There were tributes, stats and memories galore on Twitter starting Sunday morning. Here’s a sample:

Lotta people dogging Jeter for 2014 season. Guy's 40, still gonna exceed 150 hits. Not so shabby.
