The Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers both ended their 2013-14 seasons in crushing fashion. Each team’s season ended in a Game 7 in the Eastern Conference playoffs — the Bruins against the arch rival Canadiens and the Flyers against the eventual conference champion Rangers — after blowing a lead in the series.
The quest to put those bitter losses in the past begins for both teams on Wednesday night, when the conference rivals open their 2014-15 seasons at the TD Garden in Boston.
NBC Sports Network will televise the game nationally as part of its season opening doubleheader.

How to Watch on TV
NBC Sports Network has the telecast, with the puck dropping at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time. A one-hour broadcast of NHL Live, the network’s pregame show, starts at 6:30 p.m.
The game will be the first of two Wednesday night and the first of 103 for the season on the televised by the NBC Sports Group.
The Bruins and Flyers will each appear on NBC or NBC Sports Network 12 times — tied with the Capitals, Kings and Sharks for the most in the league. Seven teams will appear 11 on the networks 11 times.
Wednesday’s game is the first of 24 games in the network’s Wednesday Night Rivalry series.
