The New York Jets have suffered through a 3-11 season thus far, and most signs point to head coach Rex Ryan losing his job at the end of the season, however, Jets fans, whether they agree or disagree with the Rex decision or not, have also called for the head of General Manager John Idzik — going so far as to creating a website to promote the firing of Idzik. The organization even raised money to put up billboards around MetLife Stadium.
It appears as though Jets fans aren’t necessarily the only ones who want Idzik gone. On Wednesday, Jets owner Woody Johnson was caught “favoriting” a tweet supporting the firing of Idzik on Twitter.
Johnson, who undoubtedly got caught with his hand stuck in the cookie jar so to speak, later apologized for his action:
Just by judging the surface, it seems like the plan for the Jets organization beyond 2014 is to clean house and start over again.
