The second leg of the Triple Crown is just four days away. The 2015 Preakness Stakes is this Saturday, May 16th from Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore Maryland.

Based on the horses who are projected to run in Saturday’s Preakness Stakes, here are the (projected) odds. The odds below were provided by sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Horse: Odds:
American Pharoah 5/6
Firing Line 5/1
Dortmund 11/2
Carpe Diem 14/1
Competitive Edge 16/1
Materiality 16/1
Danzig Moon 22/1
Divining Rod 22/1
Bodhisattva 40/1
Stanford 40/1
Grand Bili 50/1
Tale of Verve 50/1

American Pharoah, unsurprisingly, is the overwhelming 5/6 favorite, and that may change come Saturday. American Pharoah is projected to be one of the highest-wagered horses in the history of the Preakness.

After the Bob Baffert trained super horse, the rest of the Preakness odds are in line with how the Kentucky Derby finished. Firing Line, Dortmund, Carpe Diem, Materiality and Danzig Moon all figure to have a good amount of money wagered on them between now and Saturday — their odds may not change as much, though, due to the amount of money figured to be placed on American Pharoah.

The wild card for the Preakness is Competitive Edge. Competitive Edge suffered a hairline fracture in his hind leg that eventually took him out of the running for the Kentucky Derby. He is 4-for-4 in his career and looks to be every bit of the quality that the other Kentucky Derby horses were.

The four long shots: Bodhisattva, Stanford, Grand Bill and Tale of Verve will probably see minimal betting. The quality of the other eight projected horses is far superior to those four.

Preakness coverage begins on NBC at 4:30 p.m. and will lead right into the start of the race. Post time for the 2015 Preakness Stakes is 6:24 p.m. ET.
