Todd Frazier of the Cincinnati Reds isn’t the top seed in the Home Run Derby, but he’s oddsmakers’ choice to win the event in front of the hometown fans at Great American Ball Park.
Frazier has 7/2 odds as the second seed. Top-seeded Albert Pujols of the Angels has 5/1 odds. Prince Fielder, the 7 seed and Frazier’s first round opponent, is at 11/2.
The Home Run Derby gets cranking on Monday night at 8 p.m. Eastern. It will be televised by ESPN.
The rules are a bit different in 2015 as it features a bracket-style format with timed rounds.
Heading into the weekend, Pujols had 26 home runs, good for second in the majors behind Giancarlo Stanton (27). Frazier and Bryce Harper had 25 apiece.
