Where Is New York Giants Training Camp?

The New York Giants have just one thought in mind this season; get to the playoffs.

After missing the postseason for three straight years, the Giants are more determined than ever to repeat their runs in 2007 and 2011, both of which ended in Super Bowl titles. So, how does Big Blue do that? Practice, of course. And this year, once again, New York begins those practices begin during training camp at Quest Diagnostics Training Center. Here’s what you need to know about the facility

The Giants teamed up with Quest Diagnostics in 2013, renaming the East Rutherford, New Jersey training facility. It had previously been known as the Timex Performance Center. The partnership allows the team to work with the in-state company to further improve new sports diagnostics services and improve rehabilitation efforts for injured athletes. At the time of the announcement, Giants president John Mara said:

For our league and for this franchise, nothing is more important than player health and safety. We have made tremendous advancement in this area in recent years. We see our relationship with Quest as the next step in the process of achieving a healthier and safer game during our players’ careers and after their playing days.

The facility, which is part of the Meadowlands Sports Complex, includes separate training rooms based on position, which allow athletes to work out on everything from an underwater treadmill to padded weight rooms. The Giants, who had previously held training camps upstate at the University at Albany, will stage nine open practices at Quest Diagnostics as well.
