Kuchar won the Bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. He’s won seven tournaments on the PGA Tour, but has yet to capture a Major victory. His best finish was third place in the 2012 Masters. He hoped to change that at the 2017 British Open, but Jordan Spieth won the tournament.

Here’s what you need to know about the wife of the No. 18 ranked golfer in the world.

Matt Kuchar was born in Winter Park, Florida and Sybi Parker was born on St. Simons Island, Georgia, according to the New York Times.

The happy couple met while they were attending college at Georgia Institute of Technology. There, Kuchar earned a degree in Management when he graduated in 2000. However, they didn’t start dating until after graduation.

Matt explained to PGATour.com that they started dating in 2002.

“She was moving back to Georgia,” Matt explained. “She spent three years in California, she moved back to Georgia. We started communicating and it quickly lead to dating and quickly lead to marriage. I think it was within a year we were married before we got back together. We were very close in school. I think both of us were pretty occupied with our sport and with school as well. We would go out and hang out, but not a whole lot of dating.”

2. She was a Member of the Tennis Team in College

The Kuchars were both collegiate athletes at Georgia Tech: Matt was a golfer of course and Sybi a tennis player.

In a 2010 PGATour.com interview, Kuchar said Sybi taught tennis after she left Georgia Tech, heading to California. After that, she stopped playing tennis, but Matt tried to get her interested in the sport again when they started dating.

“It’s kind of a fun activity the two of us can play at equal level,” Matt explained. “She is a better player when we play matches. I’m kind of scrappy enough in playing a style I don’t think many people enjoy. I just cover the net with every opportunity. She wears me out with baseline rallies. If I could get up to net and close a point out, that’s what I do.”

The Kuchars still enjoy playing tennis together today and compete in various doubles tournaments as a pair. As country club kids, the two both grew up around each other’s main sport. When Kuchar was a kid, he actually dreamed of beaming a professional tennis player rather than golfer. Matt’s father, Peter Kuchar, was the No. 1 tennis player during his time at Stetson University.

The Kuchars even won the consolation title of the USTA National Husband/Wife Doubles Championship at the ATP Headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach in 2009 and made the tournament an annual tradition.

3. The Couple Was Married in 2003

After three years of dating, the Kuchars tied the knot in 2003 at the private hunting, fishing and golfing retreat Cabin Bluff. The venue is located on the border of Georgia and Florida. Davis Love III designed the course on the compound.

“The whole wedding party stayed on the property and the place is quiet, laid-back with lots of activities. It was perfect for my wife Sybi and I,” Matt told CyberGolf.com of the wedding. “We were all there for four to five days and we got married on the tennis courts, which were decorated beautifully. I went quail-hunting on my wedding day; it was the first time I had ever been. I was really amazed by the pointer dogs and how they are so well-trained.”

4. She Is Involved with a Charity for Special Needs Children

Sybi Kuchar is one of the top supporters ofCamp Twin Lakes, a charity that provides for special needs children with serious illnesses and mental/physical disabilities.

The Kuchars are also involved with the Ronals McDonald House Charities, along with many other couples on tour who aim to build temporary homes for little or no cost for families that want to stay close to their sick children while they receive treatment in hospitals.

In March 2015, Kuchar even played donated $25,000 to United Way even though he missed a half-court shot during a Miami Heat game, CBS Sports noted at the time.

5. She Has Two Sons With Kuchar

The Kuchars have two healthy sons together. The first, Cameron Cole, was born in 2007, notes Livestrong. Their second son, Carson Wright, was born in 2009. In the video above, Kuchar talks about his home life starring his two children and Sybi.

In his PGATour.com interview in 2010, Kuchar said that having two sons makes it hard for him to practice his tennis game.

“It just kind of depends on where we are, the access of tennis. Now with two kids, we need help to be able to play and have somebody look after the kids,” he said.
