Final Score

San Diego Chargers 3-3-6-3 — 15
Box Score

The Seattle Seahawks picked up their first win of the preseason against the San Diego Chargers on Saturday night. The Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka kicked a 60-yard field goal with 16 seconds remaining that would eventually become the game-winning field goal.

The Seahawks were not without their problems as the first team offense did not seem to click. The offensive line continued to struggle for the third straight game. For the Chargers, Philip Rivers led the first-team offense on a number of drives, but they were not able to turn the opportunities into touchdowns.

Here are some of the highlights, key stats and analysis from the Seahawks and Chargers preseason game:

The Chargers Scored a Field Goal Two Times on One Possession

The Chargers made a field goal on their first drive, but the Seahawks were penalized for too many men on the field. The Chargers accepted the penalty but were not able to capitalize. They ended up kicking a second field goal and this one counted.

The Seahawks Offensive Line Continued to Struggle

The offensive line continued its woes for the Seahawks. Starting left tackle Russell Okung did not play. The offense linemen that did play did not looked good. Wilson continues to be pressured seemingly as soon as he receives the ball from the center.

Tyler Lockett Continues to Impress and Ran Back Another Touchdown

Rookie Tyler Lockett had his second special teams touchdown in three preseason games. Lockett returned a punt back 67 yards for a touchdown. The Seahawks used a third round draft selection on him and it looks to be paying off.

Philip Rivers Had a Solid Night But Injured His Finger

Philip Rivers was 13-of-19 on passes for 140 yards. He connected with a variety of wide receivers, including new addition Stevie Johnson. Rivers did appear to injure his finger and ran back to the locker room before halftime. In an interview during the game, Rivers said he is fine and would have continued to play if it was a regular season game.

The Starting Quarterbacks Got an Extended Look

Philip Rivers played the first half while Russell Wilson played until about midway through the third quarter. Rivers was 13-of-19 for 140 yards. Wilson finished the night 7-of-15 for 56 yards and also had 23 yards rushing.

Brandon Oliver Scored a 70-Yard Touchdown

Brandon Oliver had this 70-yard touchdown reception. He also had 5 rushes for 14 yards. Oliver continues to be a factor in the Chargers offense after his impressive play last season.

Steven Hauschka Kicked the Game-Winning Field Goal

After missing a 58-yard attempt earlier in the third quarter, Hauschka made a 60-yard attempt with 16 seconds remaining in the game. The Seahawks bench errupted after the made field goal. This marked the first preseason win for the Seahawks.
