WATCH: Ronda Rousey’s Epic Video for Self Magazine

Every time Ronda Rousey destroys an opponent in a matter of seconds, it’s easy to see her physical strength. But many may not realize just how much mental strength the 28-year-old UFC bantamweight champ possesses.

The above video from Self magazine — you can click here to read the entire feature on Rousey from Self’s Molly Knight — will paint a pretty good picture of the latter.

“My mantra? ‘No one has the right to beat me,'” Rousey says as the video shows her training in the gym. “It’s not something I repeat. It’s probably something I’ll say to myself once when I walk out of the locker room. It’s all that needs to be said, because it’s believed and I’m not trying to convince myself of it, it’s something I just know.”

Everyone in the world believes Rousey will win every time she steps inside the Octagon. And she believes it, too.

“The way that you knock somebody out is that you out-wit them and you out-smart them and you surprise them,” she explains. “I’m absolutely convinced — no doubt in my mind — that no one that walks into that cage is wittier or smarter than me.”

Next up in trying to out-wit Rousey is Holly Holm, a former boxer who is 9-0 in her MMA career and 2-0 at the UFC level. The two square off at UFC 193 on November 15 in Melbourne, Australia.
