Giants vs. Redskins: Odds, Point Spread, Over-Under

The New York Giants look to maintain control of the NFC East when they take on the Washington Redskins this Sunday. (Getty)

The NFC East is pretty bad and, somehow, the Washington Redskins and New York Giants will be playing for first place in the division on Sunday afternoon.

That’s a real, true life thing that is going to happen.

Sure, the Redskins got run out of Charlotte last week in a 44-16 loss to the Carolina Panthers. But because of the division they play in, this team is still in place to compete for control of the NFC East.

The Giants are coming off their bye week following a heartbreaking final-second loss to the New England Patriots the week before. In other words, Big Blue is in need of a serious turn-around and New York could do that with a win on Sunday afternoon.

Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. ET. Here’s everything you need about the the matchup’s betting information, per OddsShark:

Game Preview

Moneyline: New York -130, Washington +110

Total-Over/Under: 47

What To Watch For

Kirk Cousins should probably stop throwing interceptions.

The Washington Redskins quarterback has 10 picks to his name this year and his tendency to turn the ball over has hurt the squad in crucial situations. It certainly hurt last week as the Redskins dropped a 44-16 game against the Carolina Panthers.

Still, there is some hope for the Redskins this Sunday.

Washington has been a disastrous 0-5 on the road, but is 4-1 at home and is set to take on a Giants team that has yet to really bring any pressure against opposing quarterbacks this season.

If Washington’s offensive line can hold, giving Cousins even a few seconds to glance down the field, the Redskins could notch another home-field victory. Plus, now with DeSean Jackson back on the roster, Cousins finally has a down-the-field playmaker.
