Chelsea have been busy during the January transfer window, but none of those new names will be available for today’s match against MK Dons. This is actually the first-ever competitive meeting for Chelsea and Dons, who are just two points clear of relegation in the Championship.
Alexandre Pato and Matt Miazga were both acquired during the week, two signings that could play an immediate role with the club. For today, Guus Hiddink will have to decide what to do at striker, where Radamel Falco and Remi are both unavailable.
One player who could make his return to the lineup is Eden Hazard. The Belgian hasn’t started in four weeks, and generally has regressed after a stellar 2015. If Chelsea have any chance of qualifying for Champions League next season, a return to form from Hazard is a great place to start.
