Exeter City head to Anfield today for their third round replay, looking to advance to the fourth round of the FA for the first time since 1981. They were up 2-1 against Klopp and Liverpool with only 15 minutes left in their first meeting, but a late goal sends Exeter to Merseyside. Klopp used a squad full of young players in that game, and has stated that he plans to do the same for Wednesday.
With a busy schedule and a handful of injures, Klopp is giving his younger players a chance to gain experience.
“We have to build a squad with players who are in a situation to win the game and where there is not too much doubt about re-injuries,” Klopp said earlier this week.
Liverpool have never lost to a fourth-tier side in FA Cup history, winning four of their six home chances.
