When Is the NBA All-Star Game?

Fans will find out what players made the 2016 NBA All-Star cut on Thursday night as the league announces the lineups for both conferences. But, here’s the real question; when is the NBA All-Star game?

Well, we hate to be the bearers of, vaguely, bad news, but we’ve got nearly a month of waiting in front of us. The NBA All-Star game is scheduled for Sunday, February 14.

The annual game will be held at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, but the entire slate of events is set to begin earlier that weekend on February 12. This is the first time the NBA All-Star game will be held outside the United States for the first time in the 65-year history of the event. Here’s how it will all break down:

Friday, February 12

  • 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. – NBA All-Star Media Day, NBA TV
  • 1:30 p.m. Hall of Fame Announcement, NBA TV & NBA.com
  • 7 p.m. NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, ESPN
  • 9 p.m. BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge, TNT

Saturday, February 13

  • 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. NBA All-Star Practice, NBA TV
  • 2 p.m. NBA D-League All-Star Game, NBA TV
  • 8 p.m. State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, TNT
    1st Event: Shooting Stars
    2nd Event: Taco Bell Skills Challenge
    3rd Event: Foot Locker Three-Point Contest
    4th Event: Slam Dunk Contest

Sunday, February 14

  • 8:30 p.m. NBA All-Star Game, TNT
