Leicester City have impressed against the elite teams this season, most recently dominating Manchester City. One exception to that is Arsenal, who took apart Claudio Ranieri’s men in their first meeting back in September.
Now both teams are in a shrinking title race, and Arsenal need the win far more than the Foxes. The Gunners have a great track record against Leicester, winning eight straight at the Emirates and going unbeaten in 18 Premier League meetings.
Leicester don’t have any Cup fixtures to worry about, and they have played the same starting lineup five weeks running. The squad has won three straight matches by an 8-1 margin, and a win could send them a shocking eight points clear at the top of the table.
Danny Welbeck still won’t be available for Arsenal, but Alexis Sanchez is returning to form at the right time. The Colombian scored a hat trick in the first meeting against Leicester, but has been quiet in his return from injury and hasn’t scored a Premier League goal since October.
