For much of the 2015 season, the Carolina Panthers were chasing NFL perfection. As a matter of fact, the Panthers made it all the way to 14-0 before their Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Atlanta beat Carolina in the Georgia Dome, 20-13, rattling Cam Newton like nobody else had during the year.

The Falcons found enough holes in Carolina’s very strong defense to get scores, and had two of the iconic plays of their 2015 season between a 76-yard touchdown catch by Julio Jones, As well as Vic Beasley’s late fourth quarter strip sack of Newton to seal the win. Watch Jones’ catch in the third quarter of that game below:

Other than that one blemish, the Panthers are perfect, and are now going for their first Super Bowl title in franchise history when they take on the Broncos in Super Bowl 50 at Levi’s Stadium on February 7, 2016. The Panthers’ 15-1 record combined with their two dominating postseason wins have them at 17-1 overall heading into the big game.
