Joel Embiid Thunder vs. 76ers

Joel Embiid’s debut got Sixers fans fired up about “The Process” (Getty)

The first Saturday of the 2016-17 NBA season consists of nine games, beginning with the Philadelphia 76ers hosting the Atlanta Hawks. After rookie Joel Embiid captivated the masses in his debut, a game more than two years in the making, he’ll face another test in the form of Hawks center Dwight Howard.

Another game worth keeping an eye on is New Orleans’ trip to Texas to take on the Spurs. It’s the second game of a back-to-back for the Pelicans, and power forward Anthony Davis has been on fire thus far. However neither of Davis’ exemplary outings resulted in a win, and ending the skid against a team as good as the Spurs will be incredible difficult. That’s one of two games airing nationally on NBA TV, with the Timberwolves visiting the Kings in the nightcap.

Below are the times and TV listings for all nine games, with the times being Eastern.
